The endless rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 have made the rounds for some time. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with some significant changes over its predecessor, and Samsung’s own AI is considered to be the best bet for now.
Last year in 2016, we saw artificial intelligence gaining a lot of importance with tech companies releasing many smart-home products. AI is gaining much momentum with popular services like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri competing among themselves.
2017 is expected to see major transformations in AI technology, and the Korean tech giant – Samsung – doesn’t want to miss this opportunity. The Galaxy S8 is projected to feature company’s own Bixby artificial intelligence system.
However, the latest industry reports show that Samsung has recently filed a European trademark for the name Samsung Hello.
As per what the trademark reads, Samsung Hello is a type of “software that enables block users or computers and mobile devices to access, aggregate, organize and interact with content, information and images and topics of general interest to such users.” This trademark further says that Samsung Hello will also include “application software that gives personalized features and information based on user’s preferences in the fields of weather, music, entertainment, games, travel, science, health, contact, and social news via voice command and voice recognition.”
Samsung Hello is much similar to the Google Feed (previously known as Google Now) service.
Samsung Hello would be working in coordination with Bixby to deliver similar results as Google Feed.
With this new AI, users would be getting immediate information in either voice or written responses. Things will be clearer about all these further developments as Samsung is expected to announce the much awaited Galaxy S8 on 29th of March.
