Pebble Tiny Computer Wearable Will Come Integrated with Amazon Alexa

Pebble’s minicomputer is not making its way to the market all alone; it will be having a companion that’s attempting to explore more within its domain. And that little friend is none other than the personal assistant from Amazon called Alexa.

It was only a few days ago that Pebble launched its habitual Kickstarter campaign for the new tiny computer wearable, which it calls the Pebble Core.

It’s still in development, and won’t be out before the year wraps up. But it’s now all confirmed that Alexa will now have a debut entry in the wearable segment when it comes out.

The integration of Alexa will now hand over multiple voice controls to Pebble Core, like playback control of music through Amazon Prime Music and Spotify, weather and traffic update, news recitals, direct shopping from Amazon, and many more, including the Internet of Things enrichment put forward by Amazon.

Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky was more than happy to welcome its new partner on-board, and was quoted saying the personal assistant to be ever-evolving with usage and smartness over time in the announcement blog. He also assured the Pebble Core to get evolved along with the evolution of Amazon Alexa on its way.

As with the Kickstarter campaign, Pebble’s tiny computer has already triggered broad interest from users, and has grossed more than ten-times its funding goal, with still 23 days left for the campaign to wind up. The shipping of the device will start in January 2017, and is available for pre-order from $69 and up.
