The three-day National Convention of the Computer Society of India(CSI) will begin here from December 8.

It will cover topics like Enterprise mobility, Data visualisation, Internet of Things and IT for the Differently-abled.

The purpose of the 51st Annual Convention CSI 2016, with the theme titled, “Digital Connectivity-Social Impact,” is to foster a happy society where digital connectivity is the way of life, CSI National President, Anirban Basu told reporters here today.

Stating that technology has become an irreplaceable element in various domains such as healthcare and education, he said, digital connectivity can thus foster and fasten the growth of a society when it becomes accessible to the common man.

A diverse array of events such as panel discussions, pre-convention tutorials, paper presentations, guest lectures ,case study analysis have also been planned during the convention, in which more than 1,000 delegates from various domains of IT including academicians, corporates, executives from public sector and multiple other stakeholders, will participate, Basu said.

To a query about computer penetration, organising committee chairman P R Rangasamy said it has already touched 80 per cent and is improving fast, particularly in the rural areas of the country.

The convention being the most prestigious events in the field of Information Technologywill simultaneously host the prestigious 14th e-Governance award function, to recognize the best e-Governance project from across the Country, he said.
