The Amazon Echo is a pretty mundane looking gadget. But wait, in case you’re new to Komando.com, let me explain. The Echo is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. You tell Alexa to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more—instantly. All you have to do is ask.
The Echo is a black cylinder that measures 9.3″ x 3.3″ x 3.3″ (235 mm x 84 mm x 84 mm). It fits in just about any person’s decor. Well, except for an inventor who simply goes by the name “Steve.” He wanted to breathe life into Alexa, literally. So Steve gave Alexa a robotic face.
Looking at “Elvia” (Steve’s name for the robotic head) makes you wonder what Steve was thinking. He put it together as he writes, “Robot using Alexa input into USB soundcard, with EZ Robot software controlling 2 mouth servos. Elvia has a total of 10 degrees of freedom.”
