The Amazon Echo and Echo Dot can be used to turn on and off devices connected to the D-Link Home Smart Plug using voice commands.

“Integrating our Smart Home products with Amazon’s Echo voice control systems is another step in our vision of building an intuitive and customisable Smart Home experience,” commented Paul Routledge, D-Link UK and Ireland Country Manager.  “D-Link is helping users find new and fun ways to interact with their homes by expanding the possibilities of home automation and collaborating with additional technology platforms.”

In addition to working with Amazon Alexa via Echo and Echo Dot, the mydlink Home Smart Plug can be used via the mydlink Home app to interact with other mydlink Home devices, and with IFTTT (If This Then That) to create automation processes and device interactions with hundreds of other applications and devices.
