NEW YORK, June 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — CE Week kicks off tomorrow, providing media and NYC tech influencers with a record number of new products and a two-day conference program. Over 125 participating companies, from some of the top brands to unknown start-ups, will be showing what’s new, while a program of over 20 conference sessions, keynotes and press conferences will put what’s new into mid-year 4Q context. CE Week Conferences and Exhibits are scheduled June 22-23 at the Metropolitan Pavilion/Altman Building.
SSHHH… MUM’S THE WORD Several companies will be announcing and debuting brand new products at the show including Epson, K.I.S.S. AV, Kensington, Catalyst, M3D, Netatmo, Tablo, Roost, Targus, SWON and Sandisk.
FOR MEDIA ONLY Media will have a sneak preview of the entire CE Week show floor at the official CE Week Exclusive Media Event powered by Showstoppers. The media-only event is scheduled from 3 – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22 with a special musical performance by ROLI to kick things off at 3:00 p.m.
INTRODUCING GETGEEKED Following Showstoppers, the show floor opens to consumers for getgeeked from 6 – 9:00 p.m. Tech enthusiasts will have the opportunity to check out the newest gear, shop big discounts on the products being showcased in the Social Shopping Zone, win awesome prizes and bring home top quality swag.
TAKING IT TO THE STREETS Monster is ‘Taking it to the Streets’ on June 22 at CE Week with an exciting pop-up event to celebrate the launch of Monster Blaster, the reimagined boombox of the 21st century. The event will feature a panel discussion, ‘The Evolution and Impact of the Boombox on Pop and Hip Hop Culture”‘ at 5:30 p.m., followed by a breakdance competition featuring New York’s hottest breakdance artists going head-to-head for prizes at 6:30 p.m.
THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM CE Week Conferences will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 with the Connected Mobility Conference, which will focus on game-changing behind-the-wheel innovations and feature speakers from top companies in the auto industry including AAA, BMW, Hyundai, Kelley Blue Book and Pioneer.
Putting all these new products into context, the CE Week Conference Program on June 23 will explore the latest trends in hi-res audio, virtual reality, drones, wearable technologies, smart home, 3D printing, robotics and beyond. Also part of the conference is a keynote address from New York City’s Chief Technology Officer, Minerva Tantoco who will discuss what NYC has on its tech docket and how the next wave of innovation will demand technology/government partnerships. Ed Baig of USA Today will sit down with IBM Watson Platform’s, Jeremy Pesenti, to examine how deep machine learning and AI will change our businesses and our lives.
