Android Things developer preview 3 released, brings USB Host support

The Korean update will also feature the latest security patch for Android 7.0, along the lines of the Sprint Galaxy Note 5 which got its update in March.

According to a number of leaked images of the refurbished Note 7, Samsung is intending launch the smartphone with model number SM-N935 and run Android 7.0 Nougat.

The other week, we reported that Samsung is planning to release the refurbished version of the Galaxy Note 7 in emerging markets such as the India, Vietnam, South Korea, etc.

In addition with the Note 5 we also confirm that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is getting the Android Nougat Update. You can now write code that interacts with both Bluetooth classic and low energy (LE) devices just like a regular Android phone. Keep in mind that before you start installing update make sure you have 1.5 GB of free internal storage on device. As the Update is large in size, users are recommended to download the update file on a WiFi network and at least have 50 percent battery life while updating.

The introduction of these two features in Developer Preview 3 bridges the gap yet further towards integrating the functionality we all know and love in Android into Internet of Things.

Google’s latest Android distribution report reveals how much each version of Android was used to access the Play Store during the 7-day period ending on April 3. However, looking at the current adoption rate, it is sad to see that the Android Nougat, which was released in October previous year, has failed to capture a sizeable market share.
