Amazon's Alexa can now order from Pizza Hut for you

Ordering a pizza has never been easier.

Now all hungry patrons have to do is merely mouth phrases such as “Alexa, open Pizza Hut” or “Alexa, ask Pizza Hut for a pizza” to place an order.

A request to “ask Pizza Hut” (or “open,” “tell,” or “use”) will enable the skill — that is, Alexa’s built-in capabilities — and from there users can “start a delivery,” “re-order my last order,” or “order a favorite,” according to Eater.com.

While Domino’s got a head start in touchless pizza ordering, Pizza Hut says its skill differs from “any pizza brand in the space by providing Alexa users with the convenience of ordering not only your favorites and past orders, but also directly from a menu of the most popular items from Pizza Hut.”

The touchless option for carryout and delivery is available via Alexa Voice Service on Amazon Echo, Amazon Tap, Echo Dot, Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets.

The skill was made available Thursday.
