The Amazon Black Friday 2016 sale set a new staggering record on Thanksgiving.
Amazon customers in the US are shopping this Black Friday at record levels for the holidays and there are still thousands more deals coming today and this weekend. According to Amazon “the Turkey 5 has only just begun.”

We have said earlier this week Thanksgiving can beat Black Friday or event Cyber Monday in terms of consumer spending online. Amazon just announced that Thanksgiving is quickly becoming one of the busiest mobile shopping days on Amazon in the US. In fact, mobile orders from Amazon customers on Thanksgiving Day exceeded both Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday 2015.
According to the online giant Black Friday on Amazon.com is already on pace to surpass Black Friday last year, in terms of items ordered.
Alexa devices are some of the best-selling items on Amazon.com so far today, including Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote. Other best-selling deals on Black Friday so far include the Instant Pot 7-in-1 Multi-functional Cooker, Hasbro’s Pie Face Game, WeMo Switch Smart Plug (Works with Amazon Alexa) and Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones.
Amazon revealed earlier today the Cyber Monday 2016 deals. Target also reported new record online sales on Thanksgiving. Target’s Cyber Monday sale will be a 2-day event starting Sunday with 15% off sitewide.
