About Padtronics

Padtronics started in 2016 covering the first wave of Amazon Echo devices, Alexa skills, and the connected home.

Today Padtronics is a small, independent research page about the AI-powered workspace: the tools, gadgets, and smart tech worth knowing about for focused, creative work. The focus has narrowed since those early Alexa write-ups — voice assistants and connected devices are still part of the picture, but the emphasis now sits closer to how AI actually shows up in day-to-day work: productivity gadgets, smart home-office setups, and the wearables, fintech, and IoT trends worth watching. Recommendations are built from reviews, ratings, and hands-on coverage rather than press releases, and the site would rather list fewer things well than pad out a buyer's guide.

A handful of pieces from the early archive earned real backlinks or still hold up on their own, and those have stayed live alongside the newer coverage.

Padtronics is affiliated with InnovationTraining.org, a design thinking and innovation training resource, but stands on its own.
