Smart-Assistant Alexa With Video Support Is Coming To Amazon Fire Tablets

Amazon Fire tablets are way cheaper than the other android tablets out in the market. But aside from their tag price, their functionality are also comparable to tablets such as LG G Pad and Lenovo Tablet. Earlier this year, the company rolled out tablets that run the smart assistant, Alexa. According to Business Insider, this big software change has made the Amazon Fire Tablets a great value in the tech industry. And on December 19, Amazon added something that will go more than playing songs and audiobooks. They announced that the said feature is video supported. Users can now enjoy watching movies and TV shows from Amazon Video as well as Amazon Channel video subscription by just commanding Alexa.

The Amazon Rapids Is The Latest Application That Will Add A New Dimension Into Reading Books

In an attempt to capture the short attention span of kids, Amazon created an application that makes reading more interesting and fun. According to Amazon Rapids, users can access hundreds of exclusive and original short stories when subscribed to Amazon for $2.99 a month. Another notable thing about this application is that stories are told through chat. Meaning, they get to read the interactive exchange of dialogs between characters one message at a time as well as enjoy the colorful illustrations. Aside from these, kids can also enrich their vocabulary by browsing through the built-in glossary.

As of now, the Fire OS update is only available for Fire HD 10, Fire HD 8 and other Fire tablets users in the U.S. The rest of the world such as Canada and Europe should have to wait a little bit longer.
