When is WWDC and why should you care that it’s happening?
This week will see WWDC hit in California, and it’s something that you should all care about. While it seems like an event that might fly under your radar, it’s the introduction to the way of software life you’re going to be living for the next year or so with your Apple device.
When Is WWDC?
Unlike a normal Apple event, WWDC is going to stretch over the length of the entire week. The Apple Keynote speech from Tim Cook is going to take place on Monday morning, but outside of that this is a conference for software that will be rolled out on Apple devices over the course of the next half year.
But now that you know when it is, why should you care?
Why Should You Care About WWDC?
It’s not an official Apple event like we see in the fall, where the new line of products are unveiled, it’s still something that affects our technological lives. Things like the Mac OS X 10.12 are going to be unveiled, as well as the reveal of the Siri SDK — Apple’s answer to Amazon’s Alexa.
It’s not the most life changing event that Apple holds, but it’s still something that serves as an introduction to the software that we’re all going to be using over the course of the next year.
