Pebble Technology has achieved huge technological leaps since its crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter that produced two smartwatches, namely, Pebble 2 and Pebble Time. The latest, however, will be Pebble Core, a standalone 3G-connected wearable device integrated with Amazon’s acclaimed voice-driven services, Alexa.
The ultraportable and cellular-connected wearable gadget is expected to begin shipping in early 2017 with Pebble Core crowdfunders being treated with the rare opportunity to experience the device first-hand.
“Experiencing Amazon Alexa on-the-go right from Pebble Core is game-changing for wearable technology,” said Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky as quoted in an official blog post. “We’re longtime fans of the powerful voice services Alexa delivers, and it only gets smarter and more useful over time. Powered by Google’s Android OS, Pebble Core can be easily clipped on the wearers’ clothes armed with a slew of features found in other wearable devices like GPS technology to track distance, location, and pace which is a must-have for fitness buffs, Tech Times reported. Moreover, the device also features music streaming through Spotify and enables users to send emergency messages to contacts, and record voice text and notes without the need for smartphone connection.
