LG G6 Users Maybe Talking To Amazon Alexa & Google Assistant Soon

LG’s next flagship G6 will be coming out of production floor next month. Its February 26 launch is anticipated by many due to recent speculations that it will feature two voice assistants – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. This development is part of LG Electronics’ initiative to bolster cooperation with global companies.

The flagship phone is LG’s ultimatum following years of failures in the tightly-contested smartphone market. The South Korean consumer electronics firm’s previous phones, G4 and G5, were both market dud and did not fare well against the likes of Huawei, Xiaomi, and Moto.

In a market inundated with continued innovations, it seems that LG is not impressing consumers. It might follow the fates of Sony Mobile and HTC which both closed shops. The LG G6 may be the company’s saving grace after registering huge losses. LG cannot afford any more hiccups this year and finds itself in a do-or-die situation.

The upcoming G6 is LG’s last hurrah to break into the smartphone industry. The speculated voice technologies may be part of the company’s strategy to revitalize its 2017 lineup. According to Tech Times, the handset will debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and may rock the Google AI assistant.

This exciting news will position the Android phone as the first OEM to use Google Assistant. The AI is only available in the Google Pixel smartphones.

It seems that LG is eagle-focused on presenting a new smartphone that will impress hard-nosed consumers. According to Techno Buffalo, the device will also be packed with Amazon Alexa. LG is a leading manufacturer of home appliances. Controlling these appliances using the LG G6 can entice more consumers to consider the smartphone.

The LG G6 will have its official unveil at the MWC in Barcelona next month. Powered by 7.0 Nougat, the handset is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset and 6GB of RAM. It also boasts of dual 16 MP primary camera and stereo speakers.
