The former “Top Gear” trio recorded a jarring wake-up message for Amazon’s Alexa to promote their new show, “The Grand Tour.”
Some people can wake up to soothing, dulcet tones that ease them out of dreamland into the warm glow of a new morning. And then there’s the rest of us, who have to be screamed at, usually more than once. Fear not, heavy sleepers, for Jeremy Clarkson is on the case.
Amazon is making a major push this month to promote “The Grand Tour,” the new Prime TV show starring erstwhile “Top Gear” hosts Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. One cheeky bit of PR is this alarm tone for Amazon’s Alexa smart home device. If you choose it for your morning alarm, you’ll have everyone’s favorite bulbous petrolhead shouting “Wake up! Wake up now!” at you.
I can’t tell if this would be better or worse than The Rock’s alarm app.
