LG Electronics Inc. has unveiled two AI helper bots at South Korea’s most important gateway
This month, two new eye-catching features have been introduced to Seoul’s bustling Incheon International Airport (ICN) supplying a new AI experience for travelers passing through. Produced by LG Electronics Inc., the company has launched a trial service of artificially intelligent robots at the country’s most major airport to enhance traveler experience.
LG unveiled the new line of robots featuring AI technologies and voice recognition technology from Amazon’s Alexa at Las Vegas’ annual Consumer Electronics Show last month.
One of the two robots now holding residence in ICN serves as a notification center displaying on-screen information to aid travelers while the other is designed to clean the airport.
LG explained in a statement that the new line of robots is “able to navigate complex environments and decipher the most efficient and effective path to accomplish tasks, making people’s lives easier at every touch-point.”
LG confirms plans to complete a trial service with the robots during the first-half of this year with plans to launch a formal service of the devices during the second-half of 2017.
