An Apple Watch features a $200 discount at Best Buy, however the discount is specifically available on the classic stainless steel model. Besides, the popular electronic retailer offers limited sports band options. As a result, consumers can get the Apple Watch for a price ranging from $349 to $399, based on the variant they opt for, Phone Arena reported.
Consumers can avail the discount only during Memorial Day weekend.
Usually such moves hint a new model is in the making. If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, the Cupertino-based tech giant will unveil Apple Watch 2 during the Worldwide Developers’ Conference slated to happen next month. Several other reports, on the other hand hint a September launch for the much-awaited device.
Rumor mills have been swirling reports of a new version since the first Apple Watch was released in April last year.
Apparently, its not just a release date that these reports are speculating. A slew of other reports that surfaced online gave fans a sneak peek at some of the features of the purported device.
If rumors proved true, Apple Watch 2 will boast an Amazon Echo-like Siri.
With the aid of a software development kit, developers would be able to incorporate apps with the voice assistant, and a Siri speaker would go up against Amazon’s Alexa and the forthcoming Google Home. But that’s not all – another report surrounding Apple Watch 2’s release date speculate that the device will not be available until 2017. These reports also claim the upcoming Apple Watch 2 will boast of slew of awe-inspiring features including cameras with facial recognition, features that could grab more attention than Google’s and Amazon’s products, 9to5Mac reported.
While Apple seems to have decided to keep mum as far as sharing any details of the purported device is concerned, previous report indicated Apple Watch 2 will encompass key specs such as call and text features besides enhanced fitness-related specs.
