Apple Casts Neil Patrick Harris in Latest TV Promo for Siri

Apple has surely turned up its game. Popular star, Neil Patrick Harris has been spotted in Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) latest iPhone 6s TV promo. Marketing for Siri, the latest Apple advertisement shows Neil Patrick use his virtual assistant in hands-free mode. The TV spot adds to a growing list of TV commercials launched by the tech giant. Recall that one of its recent commercials stars the all-time favorite Sesame Street muppet, Cookie Monster.

Ever since the launch of Apple’s digital assistant, the company has ensured that its marketing campaign remains distinctive. The tech giant uses celebrity endorsements, and remains focused on the roll out of TV spots that feature famous personalities and characters. This helps Apple intrigue its audiences and set a standard for its TV ad campaigns.

The new ad shows NPH use a brush as a pretend mic, whilst he rehearses his acceptance speech with Siri. The hands-free feature enables him to practice for the mysterious ceremony, and showcases Siri’s ability to read from the Notes app. Mr. Harris is seen rehearsing his lines alongside the company’s digital assistant, promising to sound comparatively “more natural” at the actual event.

Recall that Siri was previously slightly trickier to use with former iOS versions, the company has now enabled the service to work without the need to connect to a power outlet to save battery. With the advent of iOS 9, users can access Apple digital assistants to carry out a range of tasks, without the need to physically navigate through options on smartphone screens.

The new advertisement gives users an insight into how convenient Siri is, as it is simply activated with simple voice commands. The trend of digital assistants has risen drastically ever since tech companies, such as Apple and Amazon.com, Inc. began to experiment with voice-powered assistants.
