If you’ve ever played around with Amazon’s Echo, then you’ll know that Alexa makes for a pretty savvy personal assistant. However, there’s only one problem: your Echo is stuck at your house. Well, now you can have Alexa on the go with CoWatch.
CoWatch isn’t made by Amazon, a company which has a justified timidity when it comes to producing hardware. Rather, this is an offering from a company called iMCO, but Amazon has given them the go ahead to use the personal assistant on their smartwatch. The device goes on sale starting today with a $279 price tag.

The body of the CoWatch is stainless steel housing a 400×400 Super AMOLED display. The Ingenic dual-core chipset under the hood is powered by a gig of RAM, and on the storage side of things is an impressive 8GB. While that stainless steel body looks thick and heavy, it reportedly feels quite light on the wrist. iMCO says you can get 32 hours of battery life off a single charge. What we’re seeing here is not Android Wear, but an Lollipop-based OS currently being developed by Cronologics.

This device has everything you’d expect from a modern upscale smartwatch. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, heart rate monitoring, third party app capabilities, and so on. It’s compatible with either Android or iOS devices. Alexa is the real selling point here, and you can choose from a variety of styles, colors, and straps when you’re checking out.
