Richardson Communications and Consulting (RCC) has acquired VARCentric, a telecommunications consulting services provider.
Rachel McNeese, RCC’s president and founder, and a member of the Channel Partners Advisory Board, tells us the acquisition is part of her effort to expand and create new business lines.
“The startup of a new business called Business of Things LLC, along with (my) involvement in creating the actual business plan for VarCentric, brought together this acquisition at a time where the focus of Internet of Things (IoT) is at an all-time high,” she said. “We are so excited to expand our customer base as part of a strategic growth plan. We enjoy working with innovative clients who use technology to promote business transformation.”
The financial terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed. The deal was finalized Aug. 26. RCC is located in McKinney, Texas, and VarCentric is based in Dallas.
Both RCC and VARCentric work with numerous partners. McNeese said current partner relationships will continue for both companies.
The acquisition will provide expanded resources under the RCC and Business of Things umbrella to accommodate the VARCentric customer base, she said.
This is RCC’s first acquisition since it was founded in 2008.
“If the timing is right in the marketplace and it makes sense for both our clients and partners, as well as the business, then we do see potential acquisitions down the road,” McNeese said.
